The PodShow Network Scores Among the Fastest Growing Media Sites in 2007

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, Feb 12 — PodShow, the leading and fastest growing broadband entertainment network today announced that it has achieved major growth milestones in 2007, according to two of the top independent measurement services comScore and Compete.com, with trends continuing into 2008. Since the launch of its new entertainment network platform in April 2007, PodShow has jumped from virtually no listing to the top 30 performers in comScore’s Multimedia and Music categories, and is continuing to grow in January 2008. In an even more dramatic indicator, Compete.com just released data that listed PodShow third in its Top Moving Sites in 2007, with a phenomenal growth rate of nearly 30,000 percent.

“The massive explosion of single-click, disposable content is just the first crack in the foundation of traditional media networks. We are now seeing audiences coming together around new forms and formats of episodic content,” said Ron Bloom, CEO and Co-Founder of PodShow. “As audiences continue to grow, it means we will be able to compete head-to-head with the biggest coachingmedia companies in the world in terms of audience reach, content relevance and episodic frequency. We are building a network that provides both a great entertainment experience and a trusted platform for advertisers to engage.”

PodShow is one of the only sites to experience growth in multiple comScore categories including Entertainment Multimedia and Entertainment Music as exemplified in its January 2008 Media Metrix rankings. Since April 2007, in the Entertainment Multimedia category, PodShow jumped from 59 to 23, ranking ahead of sites such as Heavy Networks, Veoh.com, ManiaTV.com, Ripe Digital Entertainment and Revver. In the Entertainment Music category, PodShow now holds the number 14 position, up from 44 in April 2007, and ahead of Pandora, Napster, Billboard.com and Last.fm Ltd.

This growth is further confirmed by the annual data reported by Web analytics firm, Compete.com, which reported that PodShow was among the top three fastest growing sites on the Web within the time period spanning from December 2006 to December 2007, with a traffic increasing 29,144 percent.

“PodShow has approached broadband entertainment with the ambitious goal of building a media network that bridges the gap between mainstream media and single-click video sites,” said, Adam Curry, President and Co-Founder of PodShow. “By focusing on building audiences instead of visitors, we effectively create media properties that can be successful on virtually any network.”
