blinkx to make the best new audio, video, series, and music fully searchable on
PodShow’s premiere episodic entertainment network

San Francisco, Calif. – Oct 31, 2007 - blinkx, the world’s largest video search engine, today announced that it will power video search for PodShow, the world’s #1 broadband entertainment network and leading distributor of independently produced episodic content. The partnership combines PodShow’s advanced episodic indexing with blinkx’s comprehensive video search engine that takes entertainment search to the next level that PodShow CEO and co-founder, Ron Bloom calls “Searchertainment.”

“Searching for entertainment should be as entertaining as the entertainment itself,” Bloom said. “By combining PodShow’s deep trove of episodic content with blinkx’s video search engine, we will enable PodShow’s audience to discover and share the best in new media from PodShow and across the net.”

“Searchertainment” is scheduled to launch on the PodShow Network with a complete feature-rich suite of all new functionality in the first quarter of 2008. Under the terms of the agreement, blinkx will generate revenue by delivering software and services to enhance search and discovery on the PodShow network.

“Podshow has always been a visionary in rich media on the Web,” said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO, blinkx. “We’re very proud to be powering search for this pioneering social media community to make millions of hours of content easily searchable for their users.”

As the pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the smartest way to search new forms of online content such as video. With more than 220 partners and 18 million hours of indexed video and audio content, including favorite TV moments, news clips, short documentaries, music videos, video blogs and more, blinkx uses advanced speech recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.

PODSHOW FOUNDERS FIND SUCCESS WITH THE DEBUT OF THEIR LIVE ENTERTAINMENT CHANNEL thePLUS TO OVER 1 MILLION VIEWERS WORLDWIDE

Launch highlights PodShow Emergence as new media network as Industry leader predicts PodShow will “transform the Internet like MTV transformed cable television”

SAN FRANCISCO and LONDON — October 18, 2007
— PodShow, the leading broadband entertainment network which allows users to play, collect, share and create millions of hours of episodic programming, videos and music, announced the success of its new dynamically generated, live entertainment channel, “thePLUS.” The channel featured the premier of a new show, BackStage Pass, produced by BTPodShow in the UK, live from the BT Digital Music Awards in London to more than 1 million viewers around the world. The visionaries behind thePLUS are industry veterans and PodShow founders, former-MTV VJ Adam Curry and music writer-producer Ron Bloom.

“It’s fascinating when history repeats itself, especially with the same person as the standard bearer. Adam Curry is once again out in front of a media revolution, not just developing video content for broadband platforms, but introducing to the world a completely new programming vision, just as he did in the earliest days of MTV,” said Jack Myers, entertainment industry analyst and editor of mediaVillage.com. “Advertisers, agencies, networks, online publishers and content producers should take a look at PodShow and thePlustv.com to see the future of broadband video and to understand new media industry business models.”

thePLUS is powered by PodShow’s new mediaPLUS scheduling system which dynamically assembles pre-produced and on-location “Entertainment Modules” into what PodShow believes is the first dynamically generated, live entertainment channel. The launch of thePLUS generated more than 1,000,000 views in the first 72 hours, with average simultaneous viewing time reaching 25 minutes during the peak of programming. Management estimates that the viewership for BackStage Pass exceeded the televised broadcast of the Digital Music Awards by over 200 percent.

“The Internet has given us a new platform for distribution, but we have yet to develop new entertainment formats that truly take advantage of the platform,” said Adam Curry, co-founder of PodShow and one of the most popular VJ’s in MTV history, who quit MTV in 1994 to form his first internet company with PodShow co-founder Ron Bloom. “PodShowTV and thePLUS are helping us create new formats that are the foundation of a true social entertainment network. We are taking what we learned from television, music and the net and creating new entertainment formats that can be enjoyed on your computer, television, or downloaded to virtually any device.”

The successful launch of thePLUS comes on the heels of PodShow’s emergence as a force in online entertainment, skyrocketing to comScore top 30 sites in both multimedia and music, and further demonstrates PodShow’s position as a revolutionary force in online entertainment, dramatically changing how online media is created and consumed.
“thePLUS combines television-quality production, dynamic programming, unique formats and the social connectivity to generate a consistent entertainment experience which keeps viewers connected,” said Ron Bloom, co-founder of PodShow. “The ability for millions of users to simultaneously watch dynamic round-the-clock entertainment and contribute directly to the programming of the channel is just the tip of the iceberg of what viewers can come to expect from the new PodShow network.”

About thePLUS

thePLUS features multiple Entertainment Modules (EMs), which are independent content packages that can be streamed as a channel or made independently available for download. Each EM is scheduled through PodShow’s unique MediaPLUS Software which can break down an entire day of programming into minute-by-minute segments. The software automatically generates overlays and promo inserts and can cut to live interviews from any connected location on the planet. Top features on thePLUS are packaged into channels for free download to any connected device.
